Australia superannuation
Superannuation (Super) is an investment designed to provide money for your retirement.
This is very similar to a Pension. Most people start off their superannuation when they start work because their employer by law must pay contributions. Currently the employer must pay 9% of your wages into your Super.
You can choose to top up the funds out of your own pocket. If you are self employed you can choose whether or not to have superannuation.
There are many companies who provide superannuation services and you should seek expert advice before entering into any contracts.
