Perth, Western Australia lifestyle

Perth is known for having a laid back lifestyle, and to be quite honest it is. Very few visitors that come to Perth fail to be impressed with the great relaxed outdoor lifestyle.

Most of the time people put on a pair of thongs (flip flops) a t-shirt and a pair of shorts and just chill out. They go to the beach have bbq’s and go to parks etc.

The Swan River and Rottnest Island are also a great attraction for boat owners. We have a boat and we just love going out to the water with the kids and having a great day.

Perth is the type of place that you do not have to spend much money to have a great day out. The parks are free and most of them have free gas bbq’s that you can use. One of Perth’s popular parks is Kings Park with beautiful city views and elegant restaurants.

Eating out

When it comes to eating out, Perth has a wide rage of different restaurants and cafes to suit individual tastes. They are situated along the beachfronts, sidewalks and riversides not to mention in the suburb areas.

Nightlife

In Perth nearly all the suburbs have a place to enjoy a peaceful drink and something to eat but if you are looking for a livelier night with a nightclub atmosphere the majority of people go to the Northbridge area of the city.

Northbridge is situated next to the railway station north of central Perth. This is the cities main dining and nightlife spot.

Sports

Perth has a large variety of sporting activities available such as surfing, fishing, beach volleyball, parasailing, wind surfing and yachting - some of them all year round. Perth people take to sport like they do to water.

The also have a lot of soccer schools for the kids but my personal favourite is the Aussie Rules Football also know as AFL. ‘AFL’ is an Australian wide sport and the league is made up of teams from all states in Australia.

Perth has two teams that enter and they are West Coast Eagle and Fremantle Dockers. The home ground is Subiaco Oval and it seats 45,000 people and it a fantastic day out for the family.

You will have to search far and wide to find a better lifestyle than the one to be enjoyed in Perth.
